Sarah Grayson owns and runs the Second Chance, a delightful shop in the seaside town of North Harbor, Maine. She sells used items that she has refurbished and repurposed. In so doing, she became the host for a self-centered black cat. She doesn't know the cat's background, but with the scar across his nose, she is sure that up to this point he has had a checkered career.

As it's said: dogs have masters, cats have staff. How true, in this case. The cat's name is Elvis. He does as he pleases and also nudges Sarah to do what he wants.

When Sarah's dear friend is found in a garden setting with an old man's corpse, Maddie is immediately suspected of doing the old man in. It takes the combined efforts of both Sarah and Elvis to prove the police wrong.

The Whole Cat and Caboodle is the first in a new series. I do hope that author Sofie Ryan is fast at work on number two of this fun series. I look forward to Sarah and Elvis pairing up again to solve a mystery in North Harbor.
