This Lift-the-Flap book encourages toddlers to identify colors, practice new words and have fun opening the flaps to see what surprises await them throughout this interactive picture book.

'I say apples, you say ... RED!' announce the two raccoons featured on the first two page spread that greets the reader. These two cute critters are then followed by a white bunny pulling a truckload of pumpkins. Flip the flap and you'll see some pesky squirrels tossing the pumpkins off the trailer where their friends catch them.

As you move through the remaining pages you'll discover kites and the sun, some animals playing soccer on a green lawn, penguins up in the blue sky flying a helicopter and suspended from a parachute, and some more animal friends sharing a meal of purple grapes.

When you get to the two final sections you'll discover a herd of black and white zebras and a huge rainbow showcasing the six colors highlighted in the book. What fun!

With its bright colors and cute animals, this book should hold a young child's attention and help start the process of color and even animal identification. Although fairly sturdy, the fold out pages may tear with constant use. So, until your youngster has decent hand-eye coordination, you might want to handle the page turning/flap flipping chores.
