Another in the My First Discoveries series, this interactive torchlight book introduces the reader to castle life, shows different types of castles in various lands (Japan, Scotland, Syria and France), explains coats of arms, and illustrates how a castle survives a siege.

You'll not only see different types of weapons and siege engines but also watch as a castle is attacked and defended. The book features a set of transparent pages that show in great detail life in a medieval castle. If you are looking for a way to introduce a unit on medieval life this is an excellent book to engage the youngster and get him/her interested in the subject.

Hint: If you want to lighten up the dark pages quickly and don't want to use the provided torch, just slip a piece of white paper behind the page and the illustration will be visible.
