While Dying to Know's plot might remind one of the old Topper series, Author TJ O'Connor has brought a new twist to it and created a fresh concept.

Detective Oliver Tucker, better known as Tuck, has been shot to death in his own home! Strangely he remains, watching his mortal remains being eased into a body bag. He stays very much on the scene and actually manages to contact his wife and let her know he is okay though dead. He is informed by a grey and wispy creature that anyone who is murdered must hang around until the murderer is unveiled before moving onto the next stage of death.

The police seem to suspect that his wife Angela and his best and old friend and partner Bear had a thing going, as the investigators intimate that the two of them arranged Tuck's demise. Tuck knows both of them and doesn't believe the theory. But, then there were all those phone calls between the two ...

Dying to Know is a first endeavor for TJ O'Connor – a successful one. His interpretation of the life – or non-life – after life ends is worth reading. I don't plan on being murdered, so I probably won't be able to test his fantasizing. But it sure makes a good read. I look forward to book number two, which I believe is near publication.
