The history of the city of London is so multifaceted that it is hard to know where to start. Ellen Bailey begins with a number of activities focusing on the famous Tower of London before she visits the Thames, Hampton Court, Trafalgar Square, Kew Palace and Gardens, Westminster Abbey, and Buckingham Palace. Besides stories about fearsome families and gruesome ghosts and games like Six Wives' Olympics, Nelson's Body Parts and Fire! Fire!, you'll find eight puzzles to solve, fun things to do, like making your own Buckingham Palace Guard (parts provided!), and numerous pages to color. If you like to doodle, there are plenty of opportunities to do so as you work your way through this book. Although this activity book is aimed at youngsters between the ages of seven and nine, both teenagers and adults will be tempted to expropriate the volume for their own amusement. Also, if you do plan to take The London Activity Book along on a trip, be sure to also pack some colored pencils since this doubles as a coloring book too.
