ou'll find a plethora of pajama wearing piggies in this picture book which beautifully illustrates how difficult it can sometimes be to get children into bed.
T
he five piggies featured here have supposedly been put to bed, but as soon as their mama goes back downstairs, chaos reigns. '
Piggies in pajamas, jumping in the air, tossing up the pillows, popcorn in their hair. Climbing up the mountain (their bunk bed), lined up in a row, diving in the ocean, piggies holler, 'Go!'
'
T
he rowdiness continues until they think their mother is coming back. When that happens everyone quickly slips under their covers and pretends to be asleep. The fun goes on for quite a few pages before this pile of rambunctious piggies finally decides to settle down for the night.
Y
ou may be surprised by where they find a cozy place to sleep, but it is all part of the fun that makes
Piggies in Pajamas
(sequel to
Piggies in the Kitchen
) such a delightful book. This new series with its mischievous but loveable characters is a welcomed addition to the genre.
