A future post quake San Francisco is run by a private corporation known as the Bay Area Security Service. At its head is Saul Rabin, founder of an anti-gravity technology company that will one day make him one of the most powerful men in the world. He did not get to this point by being Mister Nice Guy either. He is feared and hated by most of the population.

Saul's protégé Michael Ares is one of the very few men who can visit him without security clearance. One horrific night, both his best friend and his only daughter are brutally murdered. Devastated beyond words Michael vows to exact revenge on the murderer. He investigates the crime on his own. But as Michael follows the evidence, it points in a direction that is much too close for comfort.

If you seek a book filled with intrigue, violence with a twist of political power, and a realistic futuristic touch, this is the one you are looking for. It is very fast paced, well written, and will leave you on the edge of your seat as you turn the pages hoping for just a little bit more. I look forward to the sequel.
