Her PI Jeri Howard series is worth putting on your must-read list. Now she has given us a standalone novel, What You Wish For. We all know that old adage – Be careful what you wish for; you might get it! Lindsey Page and her daughter Nina haven't seen eye to eye for some time. Nina left home in a huff and returned months later, asking to be taken back. Though she was not chastened, Lindsey could excuse that to have her daughter back. One bone of contention is that Lindsey won't reveal to Nina who her father is. Lindsey has three very close friends – extremely close friends. But even with their loving relationships, they don't reveal secrets they have kept from each other for years. How will Lindsey handle her daughter's demands? Will one of her friends' daughters be put off when she finds out blood tests prove she and her father aren't related? How about that adoption from El Salvador? Pages are taken to delve into the morass that was El Salvador at one time. I found it especially interesting in that one of my granddaughters is an adoptee from El Salvador.
