George is a big dog. George also has all the best intentions but when George's owner, Harry, leaves George alone in the house with the admonishment to be good, some not-so-good things happen.

Although George promises to be very good while Harry is out, that's not exactly what happens. When George finds a cake in the kitchen, what does George do? Why, he eats all of it.

When he sees a cat, he chases it. And when George finds some flowers in a dirt box, he digs in it.

'George! What have you done? You've RUINED the place ...' exclaims Harry when he comes home. Obviously, Harry is not happy!

Now George is in the dog house. Is the big, loveable pooch able to make amends for what he has done and get back on Harry's good side? Yes, he does, but exactly how George accomplishes this is a secret. You'll have to read the book to find out 'What will George do?'

Children ages two and older will easily relate to poor George and how he has a hard time handling temptation. The retro illustrations picturing George's antics add to the fun of reading this cute picture book.
