In the Bag    by Kate Klise Order:  USA  Can William Morrow, 2012 (2012) Softcover, e-Book Read an Excerpt     Reviewed by Mary Ann Smyth What a fun book Kate Klise's In the Bag proved to be. It is easy to see how, with today's technology, the scenario could easily have happened. Father and son, Andrew and Webb, head for Madrid. Dad has an avant garde art exhibit to work on while his son has free time for himself. Webb ends up with the wrong bag on arrival at their destination. Mother and daughter, Daisy and Coco, arrive in Paris to discover that Coco has the wrong bag. And to top it off someone has put a note in Daisy's carry-on stating that the writer would like to meet her. One thing leads to another and the teens end up emailing each other. Of course. What else? Misunderstandings and garbled messages cause more distraction. Old underwear causes Coco to bemoan the fact that Daisy insisted she pack her old stuff and now some boy has her bag and can see undies she hasn't worn for just ages. Coco and Webb's maneuvering prove they are both clever enough to survive on their own. The ending is just as the reader wants it to be, but comes too soon for my liking. I wanted more.
