Brand New Readers
series for children four and older, this picture book offers four easy-to-read stories about the lovable Cookie Monster.
imple sentences with plenty of repeated key words and large type make deciphering the text easy for a child ready to do-it-himself or herself. The stories include Cookie Monster and his Sesame Street friends. While one of the stories is about washing up in the bathroom, another focuses on making a bed and then taking a snooze.
ookie Monster and his pals also enjoy showcasing different modes of transportation for getting around town and they are also shown consuming different colored veggies and fruits like carrots, apples and corn on the cob.
his book is aimed at children four years old, but I think in many instances you'll discover it may work nicely with three year olds who will easily understand what is happening in each story. After a few reading aloud sessions don't be surprised if your youngster begins repeating some of the key words and passages.
