ou won't believe what happens when the child in this picture leaves a red sled outside the house on a snowy winter's night. '
Scrunch scrunch scrunch scrinch
'. Along comes a big brown bear and he takes the sled.
'
Roooooooooeeeee.
' Bear and his friend Rabbit go whizzing down a hill on the little red sled. Then Moose wants to ride and Raccoon. '
Whoa!
' This is getting complicated; especially when Porcupine and Mouse want to play too.

fter a night of frantic fun, the sled is returned to where it leaned against the house. '
Hmmmm?
' The next morning the child sees some
interesting
tracks in the snow. '
Hmmmm?
' Now what could have been going on here? I wonder?

erhaps someone will stay awake tonight to see what strange events are happening after everyone has gone to bed!

ita Judge lets her illustrations do the talking in this picture book that relies on only a few sound effects to develop the story. Needless to say, in this instance a picture is worth more than a thousand words! Judge's art speaks volumes!

ave some fun and let your child supply the running commentary as you page through this marvelous book. I think you might be surprised by what he or she will come up with. If you need to get the process started just, ask a few questions like, '
What do you think Bear is going to do now?
' or '
What do you think all those funny animals are thinking or saying?
