Olivia's mother is a little under the weather with a cold so Olivia volunteers to help Mom with her party planning business. The official Assistant Party Planner gets her first assignment when Mrs. Berkshire calls. 'My ladies' garden club desperately needs your help with our tea party this afternoon. Can you plan a party for me today?' she asks Olivia.

Of course Olivia agrees, but she's going to need some help to pull off the party on such short notice. With Francine and Ian helping make sandwiches and collecting the tea things, it looks like there isn't going to be a problem.

But then the phone rings again and Ian answers. It's a lady ordering a pirate theme party for a child's birthday party. Unfortunately, poor Ian is confused and thinks it is Mrs. Berkshire ordering some extras for her garden club affair.

When Olivia, Francine and Ian arrive at the garden club tea party dressed as pirates, they get some very curious looks from the ladies. Things don't appear to be going too well, so the little pigs inflate the pirate ship bounce house they also brought along.

Were the ladies horrified? Not really! In fact the rest of the afternoon was quite interesting as you'll see when you read this latest episode in the Olivia series of picture books.
