oor little Sadie. Every time her dad tries to take her to the zoo something happens and they never get there. Once it was her mother. She tripped on a toy and they ended up at the emergency room at the local hospital.
A
nother time their dog ran away so they had to go look for him. Then, there was the day Sadie's grandparents unexpectedly showed up and they had to go visit a museum since the old folks didn't care for wild animals.
T
oday, no matter what, Sadie and her dad are going to make it all the way to the zoo. But as they head down the road, it begins to rain. '
Sadie, it's raining. We can't go to the zoo,
' says the girl's dad.
'
It's not raining on my side of the car,
' replies Sadie. And so it goes. The rain comes pouring down on her dad's side of the car and the sun is shining on Sadie's side. They keep going, but when they get to the zoo even Sadie has to admit it is way too wet to visit the animals.
N
ow you might think that's another
bust
day when Sadie and her dad never got a chance to see the animals. But that's not quite the way this cute story ends. Actually, it all does work out well, but I'll let you discover how this happens.
