You are invited to join this intrepid, little, white mouse and her friend Charley as they venture into a big city for the first time to visit Dotty, another of their friends.

Not only do Maisy and Charley have to get use to the noise, traffic and big buildings they see, but there are also so many people that they have to walk slowly on the crowded sidewalks.

There are also many, many stores and window shopping is fun. Dotty takes her friends to visit a big toy store and then they have lunch in a sidewalk café before some playtime at a park. Then after a busy day, the trio take a subway, another new experience for Maisy and Charley, to get to Dotty's apartment.

Life is very different in the big city and Maisy's adventure introduces the young reader to this fact. At first it may be a little overpowering, but there are also lots of fun things to see and do in the city. Maisy's experiences will help ready your young child for a similar big city excursion.
