Everyone calls me Mr. Duck because I am very meticulous and live a well ordered life. I live by myself and have a set daily routines. From six to seven in the morning I stretch my wings. For the next hour I fluff my feathers. At exactly 8:01 a.m. I glide out on my pond and its perfectly still water. Everything is quiet and peaceful, just the way I like it!

Day after day, week after week, year after year, everything was the same. And I was very, very happy. But then one day, 'Ker-splash!' My well-ordered world was totally disrupted.

'Look out below! Oink, oink. SPLASH.' Pig jumped into my pond. It was a hot day and before I could shout 'Get out! This is private property!', Cow followed and then the entire barnyard crew was messing up my serene pond. So I flapped and snapped to let these interlopers know they were not welcome! Finally they got the message.

Then, a funny thing happened. No one came back and it was nice and quiet again but ... Well, to be truthful, I realized I was a little lonely. So, I came up with a clever solution to solve the problem.

I'm not going to tell you what I did. You'll just have to read my book to see what I came up with, but I think you'll see it was a pretty clever solution. But, then, ducks are pretty smart. Everyone knows that!

If you are four years of age or older, you can have your mom or dad read you this book or maybe you can read it yourself. It really isn't too hard to read! Quack, quack!!
