obbie Ivy is doing her best to keep her life on an even keel. Her father walked out on her and her mother when Robbie was very young. Her mother has since died of cancer. Robbie feels alone, but is determined to make a good life for herself - without ties who might abandon her.
ike a rushing stream that overflows its banks, Robbie is confronted by her father, who has come to South Beach to seek her help in finding Robbie's sister!
