There's nothing a book lover loves more than a book about what to read next. One of the most comprehensive what to read books is the Jewish Publication Society's (JPS) Guide, Best Jewish Books for Children and Teens.

The book is divided into subject matter sections, such as folklore, holidays, immigrant life, Jewish rites and customs, etc.. Within each section, the recommended books are divided into fiction and non-fiction and are listed in alphabetical order by author. A brief, though concise, paragraph describing the salient points of the book accompanies each entry.

Users of this all-encompassing guide can also search for books based on age range or search in one of four indexes in the back. As a bonus feature, the author has included two lists of books that have been recognized with an award.

The recommended books are by no means limited to Jewish children - many of the subjects have universal themes that would appeal to children of all faiths. And this volume would make a terrific gift for someone who loves to read books of this genre.
