This read-along story for children three years of age and older follows the toys' misadventure as they seek a new home when they believe Andy doesn't want them any more.

The toys end up at the Sunnyside Daycare Center where they discover life with a group of active little children can be a shattering experience. After a rambunctious playtime, some of the toys have missing parts or have been misused in other ways.

They wail, Andy never played with us like that! But, when they try to leave the daycare center, the toys discover it may not be possible.

It's a lengthy story, and you'll follow this adventure from the time the toys leave Andy's house until they are finally reunited with him. The accompanying CD (with sound effects) allows the child to follow the story with the cast of characters. A chime sounds when it is time to turn a page.

Given the length of this story, I would use this read along adventure with a child of at least five years of age, but reading readiness will vary from child to child. Also, although I believe having mom or dad do the reading adds something very important to the entire experience, I realize at times they will not be available for story time. In that case, the CD makes a lot of sense.
