As the 26th president of the United States, TR was not only a Renaissance man with an eclectic range of interests from taxidermy to writing, but he was also an early advocate for environmental conservation and the man who took on the trusts and launched the construction of the Panama Canal. Accompanying this well illustrated biography of the president are 21 games and projects that will engage readers and expand their understanding of this remarkable man and his times. For example, you can learn to play sipa, a popular Filipino game that resembles hacky sack, or emulate the young Roosevelt by constructing a simple model sailboat. Other activities include staging your own big game hunt using your camera to snap rather than shoot the animals you see, and create your own political campaign buttons.
