I live on a mountain top and there are a lot of small creatures who live there too. I really love jumping out, yelling, 'BOO!' and watching them scamper away. Eventually everyone began to hide from me and I became real bored. I decided to go down and investigate the valley below my mountain. Since I saw creatures down there, I thought, 'I'll go down there and scare them!' But a very strange thing happened. As I walked down the mountainside I noticed that I became smaller and smaller. Soon all the plants and animals towered over me. This was not fun because now when I said, 'BOO!', no one reacted. In fact, they didn't do anything at all. So what did I do? Well, I hurried right back up my mountain but when I got to the top everyone was still hiding from me. I felt so sad and lonely that I began to cry. When I least expected it, though, everyone jumped out at me and cried 'BOO!' Boy, that was so cool! The little creatures and I all became good friends and we lived happily ever after up on Scary Mountain. Now, even though I am the biggest, we all play together and I don't frighten anyone. And, we have a new game where we jump out and say 'BOO!' when we play together. I hope you'll read my story. If you are three or four years old I bet you'll really like it.
