Tess Gerritsen's Rizzoli & Isles series has been such a hit that the mysteries are heading to prime time TV on July 12th when TNT premieres a program featuring the two women.

Gerritsen's latest novel, Ice Cold, opens with medical examiner Maura Isles in Wyoming for a conference and spur-of-the-moment ski vacation with friends. While traveling to the slopes the group is caught in a snowstorm and seeks shelter in Kingdom Come, Wyoming.

Twelve identical houses make up the little community and everyone seems to have vanished, leaving the homes deserted with meals untouched on tables and cars still in the garages. Disturbed by what they find, the holiday makers have no choice but to remain where they are until the storm subsides.

Thanks to mysterious footprints in the snow, it soon becomes obvious that someone is watching the interlopers. Then Maura disappears. When what appears to be her charred body is found in the area, Maura's close friend, Boston homicide detective Jane Rizzoli, is determined to discover who killed the forensic pathologist.

What follows is a chilling investigation that involves one gruesome discovery after another. Is Maura really dead? Perhaps she is. But if she isn't, there's a good chance the woman may wish she were!

A graduate of the U.C. San Francisco Medical School, Tess Gerritsen gave up her medical career to become a full time novelist. Her books have been translated into 37 languages and over 20 million copies have been sold around the world.

If Ice Cold isn't the best of her stories to date, it certainly ranks very close to the top. Gerritsen will keep you guessing right up to the closing chapters of this riveting mystery.
