Before I tell you about my picture book we have to get one thing straight. I like my hair just the way it is and I totally hate having anyone mess with it! Not only do I not run a comb through it or take a brush to my curly locks but I won't let my mother do so either.

I'll moan, whine and howl if my mom tries to touch my hair. I've even hidden the brush so she can't find it. Even after I've been out in the wind and sunshine or splashing in the rain, it is still – hands off my messy hair!

When I float in the bathtub I love to watch my untamed curls swirl in the water and even if my hair is all frizzy I won't let anyone straighten out my unshorn locks.

Well, eventually my unruly hair got so long and unmanageable that I admitted that, 'This hair must be chopped ... or scissored or shortened or layered or lopped.'

So off I went to the hairdresser where I made a very surprising request. You'll have to read my story to see what it was, but I bet you'll be shocked at what I decided to do!

Anyone who has had a bad hair day or argued with her mother over what to wear or how to style her hair will love this picture book. I think it is really funny and I hope you laugh a few times as you read it.
