Hello!
My name is Kai-lan and there is a whole series of books about what I do with my friends. If you accompany me on my latest adventure, you will go along with me as I visit my great aunt in China. After a long airplane flight we arrive at my aunt's house where we have to leave our shoes outside and wear slippers indoors.
A
fter we have a big helping of yummy noodles, my aunt takes my friends and me to the zoo to see a baby panda. We also do a lot of other cool things, like take a boat trip to see street performers. If you read my story you'll discover some of the customs of China and you'll also find out what little pandas like to eat. And, as a special treat, I'll teach you a few Chinese words and phrases like '
xie xie
' (
thank you
) and '
bu ke qi
' (
you're welcome
).
W
ell, it's time to say '
zai jian
' until we meet again when you read my picture book!
