ello. I want to tell you about the time I stayed with my grandparents. I asked my Grandpa to play with me but he had leaves to rake, so I went in the house to see what Grandma was doing. She was making something in the kitchen and didn't need any help either.
ell, when I'm bored I ask my elephant if he wants to play. And, do you know what? He always says, '
' So we went outside and played kickball, but someone stomped on Grandpa's flowers.
I'm sorry, Grandpa,
' I said. '
It was my elephant.
' He gave me kind of a funny look. You know, I don't think he really believed me. My elephant and I then went inside and guess who messed up the hallway, knocked over juice in the kitchen and splashed water out of the bathtub upstairs? Yup, my silly old elephant!
hen Grandma asked who did all this bad stuff, I told her, of course, that it was my elephant. She kind of gave me a funny look and shook her head. I don't think she believed me either and I felt sad.
or the rest of the day my elephant and I played together. The next thing you know, I woke up in bed. Grandpa was standing at the foot of my bed and I asked him '
How did I end up here?
randpa laughed and replied, '
You were tired, so your elephant carried you to bed!
hat's the story about the time I stayed with my grandparents and how my elephant got me in a little bit of trouble. Some people think my elephant is imaginary but I'll let you decide for yourself after you read my story. If you are three or four years old you may have to have someone read it to you, but I bet you'll really like it. Maybe you have a special pet or friend you play with when you are lonely too.
