High school freshman Jessica Ortiz has a new school and a new life. The move to Beverly Hills and a posh new private academy where no one knows her could be Jessica's chance to be someone new, but the need to break free isn't strong enough for her to step out of her shy girl mode.

Jessica is the sister of television star Eva Ortiz, but that's not enough to make her special at a school where everyone's family works in, or close to, the acting business. She is instant friends with Rebecca and Ally, which is a relief because she doesn't fit into the Drama Queen group or the Scholars.

A special photo of Jessica's almost boyfriend disappears out of Jessica's locker, but she decides not to make a big deal out of it. When other lockers start getting hit, she becomes the prime suspect since she's the new girl. Jessica has no choice. She has to find the culprit and solve the frame up in which she's been targeted.

In this refreshing middle grade novel, Jessica isn't the jealous little sister of a star and Eva isn't the spoiled actress who is nasty to her younger sister. There's no competition between the pair and their family isn't dysfunctional. With a little bit of mystery at an all girl's school and Eva's first audition for a serious role, Wilcox has written an enjoyable, fast, funny read that is sure to make new readers want to find the earlier books of this delightful series.
