Couples are always asked how they met. Levithan's tender stories are about the excitement of meeting and the possibility of falling in love. Whether you are young or old, gay or straight, love when it's new still races the heart. And some of the most romantic stories are of lasting love, as love was for the author's grandparents.

These eighteen stories vary in ways you might not imagine. One is even written in verse. Whether the couple meets in an airplane, a coffee shop, high school, a restaurant or a sports game, their stories will intrigue readers. In Starbucks Boy, Gabriel is introduced to a barista who knocks his socks off by six-year-old Arabella. Arabella not only has gaydar, she is the most accomplished cupid he'll ever meet. In The Good Witch, Damon's seven female friends all seem to know he is gay before he does.

Levithan is an exceptional short story writer. He introduces his characters and before you realize it, you know and love them. Romantics won't want to miss How They Met, and Other Stories.
