Max's Birthday is one of a series of books for very small children, based on the Max & Ruby television series. In the limelight are two bunny siblings - independent young Max and his helpful older sister Ruby. The bright illustrations are adapted from the animated series.

This episode revolves around the younger bunny's birthday. There's a chocolate cake and lots of great presents. But there's one Max doesn't like at all - the wind-up lobster from his aunt and uncle frightens him. It wants to play tag and follows Max everywhere, disrupting his playtime and making messes.

When Ruby offers to pack the present up in its box again, what do you think Max does? Read this sweet story and you'll find out.
