His 356-page book includes wild facts and even a glossary of useful words, such as Alektorophobia, or the fear of chickens. Looking for some trivia to impress and awe your friends? Turn to any page in Harrison's book and you're sure to find some nifty detail. Harrison divides his book into different chapters, each with several subsections. He covers such topics as customs and etiquette, flora and fauna, food and drink, and myths and legends. Titles of the sections range from Supersize Scotch Egg to Plague of Locusts to Famous Last Words. Each chapter is intriguing, sometimes astonishing, amusing, and even disgusting. Harrison introduces his book as a guide to aliens visiting the Earth for the first time. The crazy facts are guised as helpful information so that extraterrestrial visitors might know what to expect from the wild bipeds who inhabit this planet. For those who enjoy studying world records books, Take Me to Your Leader will be a treat. It's an interesting book that will shock and awe. While some pages are kid-friendly, such as the two pages of snowboarding terms, other topics are decidedly more adult, such as sections on crime and curious mating habits. For anyone who wants to know why a tea cozy can be dangerous and what annoyed a chef so much he invented potato chips, this is the book for you.
