Christoph Niemann - whose illustrations have appeared in the New York Times and Time - presents his first picture book in bright colors of red, blue, white, orange, and green.

A big, puffy cloud lives in a big city, and ever since he was a small cloud, he 'dreamed of being a police officer'. His friend, the police helicopter, arranges for Cloud to meet the police chief, who's willing to give Cloud a try. During his first days as a police officer, Cloud attempts to help catch a thief, direct traffic, aid lost people in the park, and make 'sure everyone is safe and happy'. But, for some reason Cloud's attempts are unsuccessful.

Saddened by his inability to carry out police duties, Cloud cries up a storm of tears. And it's not too long before Cloud discovers his true calling. Youngsters will enjoy reading and picture-viewing The Police Cloud right to its happy ending. Look up at the sky - can you spot a very happy, smiling Cloud?
