Once one gets past the name-dropping and backslapping, Shut Up and Eat! is full of wonderful family memories of many Italian-American stars of stage, screen and television memories of their meals with their families and the good food that was set on their groaning tables.

James Gandolfini, Robert Loggia, Edie Falco, Pat Cooper - as well as Danny Aiello, Tony Lip and Steven Prigge - have all graciously shared recipes and reminiscences to create Shut Up and Eat! Many more stars, including Talia Shire, Lorraine Bracco, and Dan Grimaldi, contributed to put together this most Italian of cookbooks. USA Today said that it was 'Like pulling up a chair in an old, Italian neighborhood.'

The food! Wonderful. Try Drea De Matteo's Genoese Sauce Alla Rae, and Sonny Grosso's Neopolitan-Style Eggplant Appetizer. Diane Venora presents her Chicken Cutlets, Italian Style. And Joe Mantegna shares his recipe for Mussels Mantegna. But first I plan to try Tony Sirico's Simple Tomato Sauce. I love a good sauce.

You get the idea. Shut Up and Eat! is chock full of mouth-watering recipes to keep you in the kitchen for hours, and your family happy as clams. Mangia.
