Three sisters - Stella, Tara and Holly - look like they have everything to the outside world. They have happening careers and share a wonderful loving family. Stella is a single mother and successful attorney. Tara writes for a flourishing soap opera and has just married the love of her life after a whirlwind romance. Holly, the beautiful youngest sister, lives a glamorous life in a large apartment while working in a big store.

The girls' mother Rose is the heart of this Irish family who live in a town named Kinvara. Rose and her husband Hugh have been married for forty years, and the party of a lifetime is in the works. As plans unfold for the big bash, the seemingly perfect lives they have all led unravel before their eyes. Secrets - that each woman has kept from the others - come to the surface. As each deals with her issues, readers wonder whether they can maintain the strong bonds between them. Can they deal with the realization that their lives are not, after all, perfect?

Cathy Kelly writes an enthralling story that is sure to grip readers' hearts. I fell for these delightful characters instantly. The women all have different personalities and individual quirks that made me smile as I turned each page. The problem that each of them faces is written with sensitivity, but also a touch of humor. Just Between Us is an enchanting novel that you won't want to put down.
