harlie Bennett is a male model who is looking for more of a challenge in his career. Though he's had a great time jet-setting around the world for ten years, he wants to start anew. Lauren, his beautiful model girlfriend is also moving on (to the television scene), so it seems that life is looking up when Charlie is offered a job at the new
luxury products website.
hile the new site gets underway, Lauren is spending a great deal of time with the TV producer, Peter. Though Charlie is busy checking out extravagant new products for the website and making party appearances, the time Lauren spends with Peter irritates him. Then, when American journalist Nora takes a special interest in Charlie, his life takes a new twist. The
owners disappear with oodles of cash, leaving Charlie and the other employees in a bind. Not only are the police investigating Charlie for fraud, but Lauren wants him to dump the new career even though she doesn't have a moment to spend with him. However, Nora is available to help Charlie search for the absconding owners, and offers him a shoulder to rest on when the going gets tough.
imon Brooke keeps the reader's attention, portraying characters (Charlie and Lauren) who face a big change in their lives with new careers - readers wonder whether, as they grow, will they still stay together? The third in this triangle, Nora, can write, but is so klutzy that she constantly finds herself in embarrassing predicaments.
is a great story, melding mystery and romance with humor that will make you smile throughout.
