Dan Zanes, former lead singer of a rock-and-roll band, noticed how much everyone loves to dance to music. So, he wrote a song about it - Jump Up. And he wishes for his readers 'that your days are filled with songs and dances.'

The author's brother-in-law, Donald Saaf, painted the exuberant - and surprising - pictures that accompany the song - a flap on each page opens up to turn a static image into a very dynamic one. Pieces of toast jump out of toasters, friends dance out of bed and out the door to the street. Human and animal characters dance around a rainbow. Valentines dance out of a mailbox, and everyone jumps up.

Included with Jump Up! is a CD of five great songs (music and words are also at the back of the book): Jump Up, Going to Boston, Hal-an-tow, Mango Walk, and Sail Away Ladies. Enjoy this book and CD - the pictures will make you smile, while the words and music will give you itchy feet.
