She takes him flying, and he defends her from Daddy Longlegs' insults - that is, until he sees how big Daddy Longlegs is. On Spider's birthday, Grampa shares the secret of a long and happy life ... 'Never fall asleep in a shoe.' Spider says, 'I wish that people wouldn't judge all spiders based on the few spiders that bite. I know if we took the time to get to know each other, we would get along just fine.'
