The creators of the acclaimed Diary of a Worm now bring us a spider's perspective on life, school, friends, and those giant humans with big shoes. As in the first book, Harry Bliss's illustrations do a fine and funny job of presenting the spider's eye viewpoint.

The diary opens on Grandparents Day at school - both Grampa and Spider's friend Fly are prominent in diary entries. She takes him flying, and he defends her from Daddy Longlegs' insults - that is, until he sees how big Daddy Longlegs is. On Spider's birthday, Grampa shares the secret of a long and happy life ... 'Never fall asleep in a shoe.'

Spider says, 'I wish that people wouldn't judge all spiders based on the few spiders that bite. I know if we took the time to get to know each other, we would get along just fine.' Read Diary of a Spider together to understand these busy weavers better, and to promote tolerance for all living creatures.
