Joey has always made 'lists to help him remember things.' It's not even Thanksgiving yet, when he starts to write his Christmas list - but he wants to give Santa plenty of time to get everything right.

When Joey's cousins arrive for Thanksgiving with their parents, the kids pretend to be pilgrims, sing karaoke, and race for a pizza prize. There's a problem though - Mrs. Melvin is prevented from grocery shopping by a snowstorm; only a sleigh could make it through the drifts. What are they going to eat for dinner?

Guess who shows up? Very early but very welcome. He brings dinner too ... 'Ho, ho, ho! Merry Thanksgiving!' Isidre Mones' illustrations have an old-fashioned look in this sweet story that blends two big holidays.
