How could a child be nervous about the first day of school after enjoying the primary colors and infectious enthusiasm of Otto Goes to School?

Silly Otto doesn't know if he's coming or going! His shirt goes on backwards and he wears different colored socks. He gets on the bus. At school he's 'a little worried because he doesn't know anyone.' But then he spots his friends, and discovers handy things like 'How to wag his tail without knocking things over.' Though Otto loves his first day of school, we find out that he 'still has a few things to learn!'

Read Otto Goes to School with a small child who's intimidated about starting school, or going back after the holidays. They'll empathize with this cheerful little dog, and lose their own anxiety.
