Lonely Planet 2006 Diary/ Day Planner
Lonely Planet, 2005 (2005)

his spiral-bound diary/day planner for 2006 is very similar to the 2005 version in format (including a plastic protective cover), but of course its 32 color photos give quite different perspectives from all over the world, ones that make my feet itch as I feel nostalgia for past travel adventures.
t uses a week-at-a-glance format, with a two-page 2006 yearly planner, and worldwide holidays highlighted on the appropriate dates. Particularly striking images include colorful designs painted on an elephant's skin in Jaipur, India; wildflowers in an Irish coastal fishing village; a stunning Grand Canyon vista; and penguins racing down an Antarctica iceberg.
t the back are '
' around the world, a handy world map showing time zones, two pages of international/national dialling codes, conversions (for clothing, weight, temperature etc.), and useful travel-related websites. This is the perfect day planner for the traveler, whether armchair or active.
