The reader need only look at the name of the author of The Rooster Bar to know that it will be a good book. No, I'm wrong. Not just good but a really, really wonderful read. The name John Grisham carries a lot of weight.

Mark, Todd and Zola enrolled in law school, hoping to achieve their goal of graduating, passing the bar, and becoming lawyers to help those in need. They begin to realize that their dreams are simply not going to come to fruition. The law school they chose is not one of the top ten in the country. Not by a long shot. But what really has them foaming at the mouth is the cost.

As they start to look into the financial burden of their education, they realize there is no way they can pay back the vast sums they borrowed. Leaving that school in their last semester, they branch out on their own, pretending to be full-fledged lawyers. They hit the court rooms and acquire clients.

Knowing they will be caught out eventually, they start looking into the school's handling of tuition and quickly discover The Great Law School Scam. Some would call their behavior outrageous. Others might call their next moves brilliant. You might call their plans unlawful. Whatever. I call the complicated financial wheelings and dealings here a great read.
