Grace, the wife of real estate mogul Alistair Calloway, disappeared one day from their lake house. Rumors spread about the family - and about Grace in particular. Grace's two young daughters never saw their mother again and never knew why.

Years later, seventeen year-old Charlie finds it difficult to accept her mother's loss. She wants to know what happened. She is attending the prestigious school Knollwood in New England. As a diversion, she plans to become a part of an elite secret society – the A's. Membership depends on playing a game – a scavenger game of sorts that could result in expulsion from the school.

Years ago, a student took his own life. At least that is the story that resonates through the school. Charlie begins to question this as well as the relationship between her parents at the time of her mother's disappearance. She had heard a very vocal fight between them the very night before her mother vanished.

All these Beautiful Strangers is a haunting story. One that quickly draws the reader to empathize with Charlie's search to learn her mother's fate. There are so many questions that no one will answer. I found it hard to believe that this compelling novel is a debut for the author.

If thrillers are your favorite reading, this is most definitely the one for you. If you haven't read thrillers before, this is a great one to cut your teeth on. Enjoy!
