Wishing for a book you can't put down? A thriller that will keep you reading long into a dark night? A book with a concept that you have not encountered before? With such excellent writing that it will stick in your mind for many days to come?

Then pick up a copy of Flashmob by Christopher Farnsworth, author of 2016's Killfile. And prepare for some great reading. Be introduced to John Smith (from Killfile) who is capable of reading others' minds! At great discomfort to himself when he feels he must do so. He cleans up messes that rich people create when they have enough money to pay him to step in and do what needs to be done. Often times he cleans up blood and then hunts the person who has caused that blood to flow.

Attending a wedding, he can't just enjoy the festivities; someone appears and shoots the bride, whom Smith was hired to protect. His search for the perp takes him into parts of the city in which he normally would not venture. He searches for the ones responsible for targeting the bride. At the same time, he feels he must use his unusual powers to move forward. He suffers exhaustively from his mind reading but plods on. He is able to hack into the mind of an FBI agent and finds that the Bureau is investigating a group calling themselves Downvote and has published a list of those who must be eliminated!

The Internet is used extensively. While I did not understand all that was put before me, I still loved the suspense that hung on each word. This is a book that must go on your don't-miss-this-one pile. Enjoy.
