ecause this book is so large (approximately 13 x 17 inches) you won't be able to comfortably hold it in your lap and share its contents with your son or daughter. You'll either need to sit on the floor or at a table to find the necessary space, but this is just a minor inconvenience because this book with its large, colorful illustrations of 32 animals is something truly special.
he animals range from familiar creatures like a cat, frog, cow and wolf to a cute koala, exotic toucan, and a whale. Colorful backgrounds complement the eye catching illustrations and each animal's picture is accompanied by its name which is rendered in different, bold typefaces.
nother feature I like about this book is that each animal has a smile on its face. Even the alligator looks friendly! The reinforced trade edition will stand up to continual wear, which is probably a very good thing because I believe this book will get a lot of use wherever it ends up, either at home or in a library or a classroom setting.
