On top of that, La Holla Chief of Police Tony Moretti is convinced that Rick has killed a missing person. There is neither a body nor evidence of a murder, but Moretti is persistent. Rick's bank is threatening foreclosure, so Rick takes a case that will make the Police Chief even more determined to pursue him. A country singer, Brianne Colton, is sure that her estranged husband's suicide was instead murder. Rick is not convinved but needs the case to save his home. On top of all, he falls for Brianne. What is the truth? Rick is finally inclined to agree with the dead man's wife and finds himself enmeshed with the FBI. I enjoyed this entertaining thriller.
