In the early 1900s in the small village of Mundy's Landing, three unrelated families woke to a bed in their homes in which the bloodied corpse of a young girl reposed. The three homes thereafter were known as the Murder Houses. The young girls were forevermore tagged as the Sleeping Beauty Murders. Needless to say, though the girls were never identified, they were not forgotten.

Mundy's Landing has an active historical society that exploits the murders and is holding a hundred year anniversary and offering a big reward for anyone who can solve the crimes. Of course, we can almost predict what happens to this tiny village with the big dreams. Another dead girl is found in a guest bedroom in one of the Murder Houses! Can't be the same killer - the original one must be in his grave by now.

Blue Moon has been called 'creepy and atmospheric – a perfect domestic thriller'. Truer words were never spoken. Creepy will have you questioning whether you really want to read this winner of a mystery. Atmospheric is also right on the button. Staub has the ability to make the reader sure he/she can hear the footsteps in the dark and feel the cobwebs that dangle from old, rotting ceilings.

Blue Moon by Wendy Corsi Staub is a book that will keep you up late reading, first making sure all the doors and windows are securely locked. Staub truly has a wonderful way with words. This is the second in a new series, Blood Red being the first. And she has nine other titles to her credit.
