The little boy featured in this picture book is filled with curiosity about the world he lives in. Because of this, he is a bit of a daydreamer, and he is continually told to get his head out of the clouds and quit dreaming.

Eventually one of his teachers encourages the child to actually use his imagination and draw what is tumbling around in his mind. The result is a remarkable and powerful set of colorful drawings that surprises everyone.

This story not only explores the power of the imagination and encourages the reader to give free reign to his or her innermost ideas, but it also uses color in an exciting manner that hopefully will make the reader want to explore the possibilities of big, bold, eye catching art projects.

Art teachers will want to check this book out as will parents who wish to suggest new, creative avenues for their children to explore. Although intended for younger readers, older folks will also find this book noteworthy.
