The follow-up to the author's Have You Seen My Dragon?, this excellent picture book follows a little girl around a county fair as she looks for her missing furry beast friend. The loveable little monster could be anywhere, which means the reader is taken on a full tour of the fair’s attractions.

It's illustrated in pen-and-ink, and you'll quickly notice that on each page color is used to only highlight various shapes the author wants to emphasize. That is the subtle way he introduces the young reader to twenty different shapes that range from simple circles and squares to more complex curvilinear triangles, heptagons and trapezoids.

This is a fun book to enjoy with a young child because the story is an interesting read and along the way the youngster is also becoming familiar with these various shapes.

Every school library should have this book and parents as well as teachers will want their own copies too!
