n abandoned car provides the catalyst that three children need to use their imaginations to travel the world. When they move to a farm, the children find an old car in the barn. Their father moves it out under a tree, providing a play area for the children.
iving in Australia, the youngsters first decide to travel in their magical car to London to see the Queen, and then they head for the Himalayas because they want to go to Mount Everest. After their dog, Chippy, has her pups in the car's backseat, they go to Ruff's International Dog Show where the puppies all win ribbons.
fter a quick journey to Africa, the imaginary trips stop when the lady who once owned the old car appears at the farm. After the children share their adventures, she tells them how the car played an important role in her life.
nyone who has ever played in an abandoned vehicle will appreciate the memories this book will revive. This clever and highly enjoyable picture book will appeal to both adults and children. It might even result in sharing of some of the youthful adventures Mom and Dad once had.
