Against her better judgment, Reverend Callie Anson is going to attend a reunion of her theological college in Cambridge, England. Painful memories are not likely to make for a joyous time.

The man she thought she loved beyond all others renounced her and married a blonde bombshell. He firmly believed that she understood and did not have a problem with his rejection. Now he wishes to reignite their previous passion although he is still married to the blonde.

Callie is now engaged to police officer Mark Lombardi. His Italian family is not on board with his choice of a woman who is a Church of England priest. Mark's family makes this very clear. With this on his mind, Mark is presented with a sad case – a young schoolboy stabbed to death. Looks like a case of cyber-bullying. But very little is as it seems.

False Tongues by Kate Charles is the fourth of the Callie Anson series. It is easy to fall into Charles' plots, which are well thought out and presented in a beguiling style that brings Callie to life. I look forward to the next.
