Children and adults who love airplanes will love this cut-paper, accordion fold novelty book that traces the development of flying from the hot-air balloon and glider to the Wright brothers' first flight and giant airships like the Hindenburg.

The author then moves on to the fighter planes of World War I and II, bombers, flying boats and the advent of jet transportation. Each development in flight pictured is accompanied by a descriptive paragraph, plus you'll also find a glossary of flight related words and a short list of important flying records.

To keep it safe, the book comes in a special slip cover case. When opened, it will stretch out to about five feet in length so it would make an attractive display on a bookshelf or table. Place the extended book where both sides can be seen. A classroom or library would be an ideal place to make this the centerpiece for a display of flight related materials or books.
