Part of the Storyteller series that introduces youngsters to beliefs, values and traditions found in the world's six main faiths, this nicely illustrated volume delves into stories about Hindu gods and goddesses.

Beginning with a short creation story, the collection offers six additional narratives the include accounts of Prince Rama's rescue of Princess Sita, the birth of the Blue God, and how Ganga, the river goddess, fell from the heavens to earth.

You'll also find many Did you know? boxes throughout the book. Each one features additional information such as that Krishna is often shown with dark blue skin and playing a flute. A helpful glossary will also help the reader identify deities such as Vishnu, Parvati and Ganesh.

Both young readers and many adults will find this a very helpful introduction to Hindu gods and goddesses.
